Rules Are Boring is the seventh episode of Bakugan (2023). It aired on Netflix on September 1, 2023, alongside A Handful of Gold!.
Plot[edit]
Dan and his friends have formed the Misfit Clan and finished their MOD/hideout. Mia argues that they should look for more members because 3 people isn't enough. Murph the Dog starts to bark at something, which turns out to be a cat. The cat takes a liking to Trox, who decides to name it "Lil' Jasper", after his old wingman Jasper who is also small and furry and wore a purple bandana too. Even though Jasper is another member added, the Misfits need more members that can brawl. Griffin shows his friends a video of a kid named Juno Reyes who posts crazy stunts online with her Bakugan, he believes she will make a good addition to their Clan.
The Misfit Clan find Juno doing a stunt with Bruiser, Juno has heard of Dan Kouzo the Brawler before due to him forming a new Clan. She knows this due to sending a signal to their phones in order to find information about them. Mia is amazed at Juno's hacking skills, asking her to join their Clan. A portal opens revealing another Clan, the Mammal Clan. The Clan Leader known as Ace gives Juno the opportunity to join their Clan. Juno decides that she and Bruiser want to see a BakuBrawl in order to choose which Clan she joins.
The Mammal Clan arrive at the Misfit Clan's MOD/hideout and see Trox playing with Jasper. Ace reveals Jasper belonged to their Clan before he was kicked out due to not following their rules. The brawl to see which Clan Juno will join begins, starting out with Mia vs. Ace. Mia commands Ventri to fly upwards, but Ace's Fanger responds with Alpha Howl to knock Ventri down. Dan and Griffin are in the DJ booth playing music to cheer Mia on, but it just annoys her. Mia and Ace run towards a B.A.M. Zone, with Mia making it there first. Ventri is powered up and uses Piercing Feathers, but Ace gets a speed power up to save Fanger. Ace tells Fanger to attack with Lock Jaw, which deals the finishing blow against Ventri.
Ace tells Juno that they bet she is happy the Mammal Clan easily won that battle, but Juno says she likes how "impossible" the Misfit Clan is since they have Bakugan of different types, she decides to join the Misfit Clan. Although Juno said she wanted to see a brawl, she never said she would join the winning Clan. Ace is angered by Juno's decision and Jasper decides to jump and scratch him. Juno believes the Mammal Clan is boring due to their strict rules, the Misfit Clan is more fun and suits her fun lifestyle.
