Major Differences from the Manga[edit]
- Due to the events from the previous series being switched around, this arc starts the Tavanel Cup.
- In the volume releases, the "Gachi" subtitle is not present but in the Coro Coro publication, it is.
- Harubaru and Raichi don their new outfits in the anime long after the Tavanel Cup; in the manga, they wore their new outfits from the start of the Tavanel Cup.
- Harubaru doesn't fight Tohga in the manga.
- Nivil doesn't fight Sho or Koh in the manga.
- Nivil and Raichi's battle was shorter in the manga.
- In the manga, Raichi never says goodbye to Harubaru. He just walks out of the Tavanel Cup without saying anything.
- Raichi never shows up to help Harubaru test Jigen Dragaon in the manga.
- The anime doesn't talk about Harubaru and Raichi's past.
- In the manga the Jigen Ring is created by Raichi using the key to the apartment he and Harubaru grew up in. The anime does not explain how it was created.
