Rejoining the Misfits, Drago shares crucial information before V, incensed by their resistance, summons the infected Bakugan, sparking a fierce battle. Despite Drago's efforts, the lingering virus within him allows V to intensify his mask's power, overpowering Drago and tilting the battle in V's favor. Initially struggling, the Misfits receive an unexpected boost when Griffin appears, wielding a device that enhances the BAM weapons. Bruiser deploys the upgraded weapons on Drago and Ventri, liberating them from V's control.

Juno and Griffin unveil a potent weapon equipped with an enhanced vaccine dose, which Griffin deploys through the BAM weapons to completely free Drago and Ventri from V's influence. In a pivotal moment, TC, recognizing a pendant worn by V, realizes the connection to the half-pendant in his possession. TC recovers all his memories, discovering V is his long-lost older brother.

The revelation strikes the Misfits as they learn that V is TC's elder sibling, whose actual name is Vakar. Vakar delves into their shared history, recounting a time when they lived with their engineer parents, instilled with the mission to better the world and assist those in need. Their parents, formerly employed by Illusion Tech, were dismissed for pursuing unconventional ideas, prompting Vakar and TC/Andrew to carry on their work independently. In the face of tragedy, when a meteorite destroyed their home on the day of the Bakugan's arrival on Earth, Vakar shouldered the responsibility of caring for TC, the sole survivor. Embittered by humanity's embrace of the Bakugan, Vakar harbors resentment and blames them for the loss.

To seek revenge, Vakar and TC approached Illusion Tech for assistance, only to be met with ignorance and refusal. Fueled by determination, Vakar, utilizing his acquired programming skills, stole from Illusion Tech, employing their technology for personal gain. TC discovers that he himself unknowingly pilfered Vestroian tech and Bakugan research data from the company. Intent on changing the world, Vakar develops a program with the stolen data, planning to control the Bakugan and exact vengeance. However, his initial attempts at controlling the Bakugan fail, leading to a chaotic rampage.

During the rampage, TC is gravely injured, saved by Vakar but awakening in a hospital with amnesia, subsequently sent to Illusion Tech for experimentation due to Vestroian particles. Undeterred, Vakar focuses on perfecting his device. The tournament is created with the goal of gathering the strongest Bakugan from each clan as pawns. Now, with the power to control Bakugan, Vakar desires TC by his side to fulfill his vision of changing the world. In the end, Vakar attempts to sway TC over to his side, leaving him at a standstill.

On October 13, 2021, Nelvana formally announced the fourth season in a press release. It specified that the show would consist of 60 eleven-minute-long episodes, or 30 twenty-two-minute-long episodes and would premiere on February 6, 2022.

The fifth and sixth, ''[[Bakugan Academy!]]'' and ''[[Roommates]]'', were released before the first and second four-part ''Evolutions Unleashed!'' episodes, which was released in Japan as a special episode along with episodes 9 and 10.

In Bakugan: Evolutions, fan-favourite Bakugan heroes – including Drago, Trox, Pegatrix, Hydorous, Howlkor and Pharol – return stronger, faster and better than ever! Strange occurrences begin to happen in the new action-packed season; elemental energy from Vestroia is seeping into Earth, creating strange phenomena and causing Bakugan to rage out with excess energy! It's not all bad though, as our heroes realize the Vestroian elemental energy is also causing elemental evolutions among our Bakugan!
